Up, up, and away.

Have you ever had that one thing you’ve always wanted to do or experience? I think we all have at least one thing; Mine for example is swimming with the dolphins and going to a wolf rescue and getting to interact with the wolves. That’s just me though, I’m a sucker for wildlife. So last year, we decided to gift Joe’s mom that experience that she has always wanted.

Joe’s mom has always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride, so for Christmas last year, all of us kids decided that we would pitch in and pay for her and one other person to go up in a hot air balloon. Joey ended up being the only one with any guts to volunteer to go up with her. When she opened the gift certificate on Christmas, you could see the excitement on her face, but you could also see a little bit of nervousness.

(Fast forward to this past Sunday.)

Sunday was the day. The day that they were going to go on their hot air balloon ride. Joe’s mom was still a little nervous, but excited as well.. I mean, she was finally going to experience something that she’s been wanting for a long time! Then you have Joey, who was calm as can be, (typical Joe.) They blew up the balloon, they got in their basket, and they were off!

Once they were up in the air, it was time for his sister, brother in-law and I to become balloon chasers, and I’d say we had some fun doing it. Here are some pictures from our day.

I think that they both had a great time and really enjoyed their experience together!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures as well!

  1. Hi Jennah, I just wanted to say hi here in the comments as I tried to get in touch with you before for a collab but never heard anything back from you. If you’re open to collabs I’d love to hear from you. You’re more than welcome to write directly to me on elena@blogerize.com – even if you’re not interested. All the best xx
